Introducing Maitreya Mesh

I’m going broke for you guys, but I suppose it’s worth it. Just take a look at my newest additions from Maitreya… I know I’m a little behind on the Maitreya mesh releases, but I’m sure you can forgive me.

Aren’t those wedges to die for? I was tempted to get the boots as well, but instead I bought the Neutrals fatpack (4 pairs for 1000L). They go for 500L a pair, so it’s like you’re getting two free pairs of shoes… or at least that’s what I told myself after becoming broke because of this visit to Maitreya. To check out the full range of mesh products at Maitreya, go here http://sl-maitreya.blogspot.com/!

I also updated my Windlight settings to those that Luna Jubilee uses. I really wanted to be able to use a studio but still have shadows and an overall nice picture, so I’m extremely pleased that Luna’s work for me! As you can see I’m still in the learning process of using shadows in my pictures and such, but I’ll get better with time, I promise!

Oh, and one last thing before I go. The only little issue I ran into with wearing all of the mesh at once is that you need the alpha layers to hide parts of your body that may stick out, but you can’t wear more than one alpha layer at once (at least not in Firestorm). What I did was I wore the blouse in size Large and used the shoe alpha layer, but just a heads up for you guys! x

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Wenge

As the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge draws to a close, I’ve had an ample amount of time to think about my blog and the future of my blogging in Second Life. I’m not the greatest of bloggers – I don’t have the most amazing picture quality, most creative outfits, or most expensive and best made clothes, but blogging has definitely taught me quite a lot… even if my contribution is but a speck on the radar. Blogging has taught me about Photoshop, websites, community, and so much more, and even if I’ll be disappearing from the Second Life fashion blogger community for a spell, I’ll always remember these valuable lessons. If/when I return, I hope to be able to contribute more to this blog and to Second Life in general. Now I am busy with RL, and whenever I do manage to make it on SL I’m spending all my time at the Hogwarts: Your Story RP. Throughout my long years on SL (previous to my creation of this account) I’ve learned that it’s impossible to be good at everything and you cannot stretch yourself too thin. My choices were either focus entirely on blogging or focus entirely on roleplay, and at this time I’ve chosen to spend my time in SL roleplaying.

Anyway, here’s my outfit for this week’s color: Wenge. I really do like this color, a nice and deep gray, perfect for fall. I especially adore this new cardigan from Vive9 – definitely a must-buy! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Khaki and Moss Green

I’ve done so many catch-up posts for the 52WoCC, but it’s never a drag to do a color combo post! It’s actually a lot of fun to try to incorporate two colors (that can be very different) and see what the final look is. I had the challenge of combining Khaki and Moss Green, which compliment each other very well!

It’s nice to finally be back around Second Life and blogging – I’ve had pneumonia for the past two weeks, which is why I’ve been so MIA. It’s crazy to think that we don’t have many weeks of this challenge left! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Brick Red

My interpretation of Brick Red.

When I saw the color swatch for Brick Red, I thought that it looked more like a deep pink than any shade of red. So, I decided to wear this beautiful pink top from The Whore Mansion (don’t you just love that name?), but, since it’s a little too skimpy for Alina, I put this lace shirt from Whippet & Buck underneath it. I’d also like to spotlight this gorgeous hair from [elikatira]. Though I’m wearing the version without the hat, I love both versions and just can’t get enough of this hair! Thanks Elikapeka for the new releases!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Firebrick & Bronze

I’m not dead, I promise!

Jeez, it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post! Luckily enough for me, this week was quite easy, even though I had to play catch up and combine two weeks. Firebrick and Bronze go together so well and are perfect colors for fall {especially Firebrick – red is so in this fall!}. I especially love this bag from ISON, it is the absolute perfect shade for Bronze!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
