Oh lookie, I’m doing another discounted fashion post! I’m not the richest gal around, so I do get the majority of my clothing from events (like 50L Friday) or special collaboration stores (such as The Dressing Room).

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I’m a huge boots with skirts girl. When it’s done right. Like any fashion trend, boots with skirts can go horribly wrong – trust me, I’ve seen it! It takes the right pair of boots and the support of some well-picked-out accessories in order for it to work. Check out my outfit below: do you like it?

I absolutely adore this dress from Tres Blah, it’s so simple yet classy. The boots I’m wearing are one of my favorite pairs, if not my absolute favorite pair of boots in Second Life. I love how you can wear these boots with a casual outfit, yet you can also dress them up with some attire toward the formal end of the spectrum.

Next, we have some of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I’ve never been a huge outerwear-in-SL fan, but this jacket from Tee*fy has definitely changed my mind! I got it during 50L Friday a few weeks back, and boy am I glad I got it. It’s the perfect fall staple for any wardrobe. Next, the skirt. I don’t own any skirt quite like this one; it is very different from the norm, but I really like it!

I think the reason I was drawn to it was because it mixes neutrals but has that pop of yellow for some color, which is another one of my favorite trends – color pops! I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit a lot this fall.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Brick Red

My interpretation of Brick Red.

When I saw the color swatch for Brick Red, I thought that it looked more like a deep pink than any shade of red. So, I decided to wear this beautiful pink top from The Whore Mansion (don’t you just love that name?), but, since it’s a little too skimpy for Alina, I put this lace shirt from Whippet & Buck underneath it. I’d also like to spotlight this gorgeous hair from [elikatira]. Though I’m wearing the version without the hat, I love both versions and just can’t get enough of this hair! Thanks Elikapeka for the new releases!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Firebrick & Bronze

I’m not dead, I promise!

Jeez, it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post! Luckily enough for me, this week was quite easy, even though I had to play catch up and combine two weeks. Firebrick and Bronze go together so well and are perfect colors for fall {especially Firebrick – red is so in this fall!}. I especially love this bag from ISON, it is the absolute perfect shade for Bronze!

Hi, everyone. Today I’m showing off some cute pieces from Grixdale that I simply never got around to blogging. The first item is this yellow tank: I love the polka dot detailing and all of the different colors in it, such as pink, red, olive, etc. The other item from Grixdale is this pair of worn jeans, which are well-textured and adorable. These two pieces are sold together for the duration of the month of April, but you only have access to them if you’re a Grixdale VIP.

Something else that I’d like to bring up today is my blog and the goal I have for it. When I began this blog, I was full of ideas and could barely wait to post the outfits I brainstormed – my queue was filled with upcoming posts {often with two weeks’ worth of outfits}. So, why am I telling you this? Well, lately I’ve just lost my passion to blog all of the new things in SL that I discover. My outfits seem to all blend into looking like the same thing, and that’s not my intention for this blog at all! I want to go back to creating distinct, good-quality blog posts, and if that means not posting frequently then that’s what I’ll do. I think that what I need at this time in my life is a short break from blogging and the SL world so I can find some creativity and do what I love to do – post outfits for you guys! I will still be participating in the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, so look out for those posts, but just expect posts to be a little more few and far between than they already are! /end ramble

Style #42: New from Tokidoki + Elikatira!

A spring full of florals and color!

Hello! It seems like I haven’t blogged anything new in quite a while, but today I bring you many new things! :D

First is my hair from [elikatira]. I don’t need to say that I love Elikapeka Tiramisu’s creations another time, do I? This hair was a group gift in the VIP group – if you aren’t in this group yet, you need to join ASAP!

Next, I’m sporting a brand new skirt from Tokidoki. This was a group gift as well, but there were many other skirt patterns and colors in the latest release! Go check out Tokidoki’s new stuff!

Finally, I am simply in love with these boots from Reek. I was hesitant to buy them at first, but it was 50L Friday and I figured why not? I’m so glad that I invested in these – they match my outfit perfectly and there are so many color options for the laces, rubber, socks, etc. included!
