Oh lookie, I’m doing another discounted fashion post! I’m not the richest gal around, so I do get the majority of my clothing from events (like 50L Friday) or special collaboration stores (such as The Dressing Room).

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I’m a huge boots with skirts girl. When it’s done right. Like any fashion trend, boots with skirts can go horribly wrong – trust me, I’ve seen it! It takes the right pair of boots and the support of some well-picked-out accessories in order for it to work. Check out my outfit below: do you like it?

I absolutely adore this dress from Tres Blah, it’s so simple yet classy. The boots I’m wearing are one of my favorite pairs, if not my absolute favorite pair of boots in Second Life. I love how you can wear these boots with a casual outfit, yet you can also dress them up with some attire toward the formal end of the spectrum.

Next, we have some of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I’ve never been a huge outerwear-in-SL fan, but this jacket from Tee*fy has definitely changed my mind! I got it during 50L Friday a few weeks back, and boy am I glad I got it. It’s the perfect fall staple for any wardrobe. Next, the skirt. I don’t own any skirt quite like this one; it is very different from the norm, but I really like it!

I think the reason I was drawn to it was because it mixes neutrals but has that pop of yellow for some color, which is another one of my favorite trends – color pops! I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit a lot this fall.

Who doesn’t love some bargain shopping?

The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue have been my main sources of affordable fashion for a long while now, and in my humble opinion many other “bargain shopping” places haven’t quite cut it for me – either that or I just keep forgetting to visit them. Today I was on Kaelyn Alecto‘s site when I saw her post on My Second Wardrobe, of which I had never heard. All I have to say is THANK YOU Kaelyn, I am in love with the dress I found there, pictured in the above left. And, of course, the left is my favorite look; I’m not sure why, but it feels unexpected and a tad edgy to me. It may be the boots, or maybe I’m simply crazy. Which one is your favorite look?

Simplicity at its best.

Remember when I said I had missed many releases in my absence? Well, at least I didn’t miss The Dressing Room‘s latest collection! This dress is simply too fabulous for words, don’t you agree? I’m totally into the pattern trend this summer, so I knew I had to invest in this gorgeous piece from MichaMi!

Another item I’d like to spotlight, again, is this amazing hair from Exile. I just can’t get over my love for it, I’m sure this hair won’t leave my head for quite a while!

Spotlight: 50L Friday/The Dressing Room

50L Fridays and The Dressing Room are two of my favorite things about SL, especially as a fashion blogger on a budget. Each Friday I never fail to find at least one item that I love to pieces from 50L Friday, and every time The Dressing Room releases new items I want to buy all of them! This post is a combination of items from 50L Friday and The Dressing Room, enjoy!

In the photo above I’m using Glitterati’s new shopping bag pose, which is absolutely adorable! I’m also sporting one of Kyoot’s gorgeous 50L Friday shirts as well as Lamb’s 50L Friday hair named DIY Haircut.

In this photo I’m wearing the two new scarves from Miel. I am a huge fan of Miel and the store’s amazing sculpties, so of course I had to buy both versions of this scarf! On the left I’m wearing the plaid version in Sage, and on the right I’m wearing the flor version in Fedora. The other available colors are Slate, Rust, Coal, Driftwood, Butterscotch, and Kashmir – trust me, they are all equally gorgeous!

The final items I’m showing today are these dresses from The Dressing Room. They’re from Tiny Bird and are beautifully made. Though the white dress is more appropriate for spring, I think I’ll be wearing these dresses often in the near future!

Jeez, I need some new poses. Just one more thing to add to my To Do list!

Yes, I am posting two blog posts today, which is quite unusual, but I couldn’t wait to share some of my latest Inventory additions with you guys!

So the first thing I’m going to talk about is my new skin. I’ve never really checked out Mynerva’s skins before, (1) because I don’t buy skins often and (2) because I already have a favorite skin brand: [Pink Fuel]. But seeing as Mochi Milena, the owner of [Pink Fuel], has yet to release the new Elly skin, I decided to check out Mynerva!

Iva {a close friend of mine} and I visited Mynerva and she immediately pointed out that there was a 300L area. You know how I love discounts, so we went and checked that out and I ended up buying the skin shown above! It’s called Elise and I got it in Bare Tan. Even though I technically bought the skin in tan, it is much paler than the usual [Pink Fuel] skin that I wear! I adore the freckles and face details on this skin; I knew that Mynerva is famous for their realistic freckles, and I can see why!

Another of my newest additions to my Inventory are the shoes that I’m wearing in the above photos. [Gos] has always been one of my favorite shoemakers, and every time Gospel Voom sends a notice saying that there’s something new I immediately buy some L and head on over! Today’s newly released ankle booties are no exception to my love for [Gos] shoes, and they come in three tones that are perfect for fall!
